Movies to watch out for – Jumper

Ok, first the factuals. This is a book by Stephen Gould (not to be confused with Stephen J. Gould, and if you did confuse the two, give yourself 5 points on the IQ scale)

The buzz is it will be directed by Doug Linman (all together now, “Who?”) and stars Hayden Christiansen. A Regency/Fox Production with a budget of about 100 million, and no word on who the CGI team will be. Screenplay adapted by David S. Goyer (again,” WHO?”).

I was enthralled and went scrambling for my laptop to see what was on the net…….

Part 5 of 842 – The New Network Season on ABC – Ok There was this caveman, well more of a Neanderthal

Does anyone remember Phil Hartman doing his Unfrozen Caveman Lawyer? And Jim Morrison doesn’t sing Touch Me at all in Pushing Daisies. Note to Barry, consider this for the soundtrack!

Barry Sonnenfeld is a very twisted and funny guy and he has created at Sci-Fi comedy about Ned, a baker, who can briefly resurrect the dead. Now before you hurt yourself laughing at the idea of dead people, remember Sonnenfelds’ track record (Men In Black{forget the sequel}, The Addams family) and Producer/Writer Brian Fuller (Wonderfalls, Dead Like Me, Heroes). Add to the mix the amazing Swoozie Kurtz and I’m guessing if they can get past 13 weeks they are gonna be solid. This is one I am rooting for.

Feh! 2007’s Summer of Sci-Fi Snoozefest

I feared for my life, as my weak heart threatened to crap out before I’d spent my last dollar on summer fare. As it turned out, I had nothing to worry about, except losing that last dollar to the Hollywood hype machine. Let me explain…
