It’s a rare moment when the fan community gets a look at the inner workings of a film from the ground up, rarer still when they are invited into the process. It was about 3 years ago, at Boston Comic Con that I first got introduced to Pasha and Megan and their unique concept for an animated film…what would ultimately become Silver Circle. We watched them work the Con, talking up their ideas and slowly begin to gather momentum and solidify. Now, here we are 3 years later and those of us in the fan community are about to see the final reward.
Their website is aflutter with all kinds of weekly updates. You can get to their Facebook Fan Page here and they have a newsletter that you can subscribe to. There’s lots in store for Silver Circle, read on for highlights:
They are submitting the film to Sundance, (Sept. submission for their Jan. show dates) and South by Southwest (aprox. Oct.) They are scheduling a series of test screenings in Aug. 2012 and are projecting a limited run release in conjunction with the full graphic novel. The Web Comic is very interesting and a quite good companion to the storyline. Check out the store for original Merch that helps them fund the day to day operations and is also pretty cool!
If you’ve heard our TalkCasts with Megan and Pasha, seen them at any Cons or just happened upon them or the project, you now have the ultimate chance to lurk away as the project we have all been watching for the past 3 years comes of age.
This is Dome, sayin’: Dystopia be damned. It’s never too late to join the party.
