Sci-Fi Saturday Night at Comicon!

SFSN will be at the Boston Comic Con this Saturday and Sunday. We will be giving away a limited supply of SFSN brain buttons (so come early!), as well as a secret prize from one of our sponsors and the amazing package of a weekend pass to the upcoming New England Fan Experience which includes a personal autograph from Leonard Nimoy. (a value of $105!!)

Preview of TalkCast for 10/17/09

Illustrator X is attending The Hack and Gore Exrtavaganza this weekend in Worcester, Ma. His presence will be missed, in a pool of blood. I will be gushing about my latest guilty pleasure comic, and the rest of Our Merry Band of Aliens will join Us in our studio in Area 51.

According to a number of blogs and media writers, NBC is in free fall and grasping at straws for ways to fix their ratings. Let’s face it, the debacle that is the Jay Leno Show and its ramifications has cost the network millions. At least that’s the whining being heard virtually everywhere, and it’s a lie. The real fact is that with the various media outlets available, viewership of the 3 ½ major networks has plummeted.  Furthermore, when it comes to Sci Fi programming, there is so much available that total viewership for any one segment has gone down, but that may not be necessarily so. NBC has problems with Heroes, which has bottomed out, ratingswise., but there is nothing worthwhile to replace it with. Read More »

Saturday was the first in our live recorded web episodes of Sci-Fi Saturday Night. Due to the live nature of these recordings I’m dubbing them “talkcast” rather than “podcast”. From here on in “podcast” will refer to something that we’ve taped without streaming, a back issue of Sci-Fi Saturday Night if you will.
