It is the story of four friends, all On almost every page you will \ufb01nd a reference to another comic book that will make diehard fans grin from ear to ear. These are written into the dialogue so smoothly that they will not take away from the story if you don’t get them. The characters, and their group dynamic, are all very likable and provide plenty of humor on their own. I found the Comic Con sequence to be priceless, really capturing the essence of what its like to be there all while poking fun at the culture\u00a0surrounding\u00a0those events.<\/p>\n The art enhances theme, \ufb01tting the feel of the comic perfectly. At \ufb01rst it may seem simplistic, almost boring, but on closer examination it is anything but. The character expressions are so well done that they offer an extra layer of depth to the characters that is surprising and unexpected, and their individual expressions add an incredible amount of humor to the pages, driving the comics theme home.<\/p>\n By the end of the story you feel like you know the characters and could hang out with them yourself. That’s the best part about Hero Envy<\/em>, it understands comics, the culture, and the people who love them. Making Hero Envy<\/em> a refreshing blend of action and humor that shouldn’t be missed by comic fans everywhere.<\/p>\n
