Joss Whedon\u2019s Buffy, The Vampire Slayer\u00a0has given\u00a0the\u00a0 <\/span>viewing public some wonderful stories and within them some beautifully amazing babes who can act, Alyson Hannigan, Amber Benson (I still love you, call me), Juliet Landau, Charisma Carpenter, Sarah Michelle Gellar, Michelle Trachtenberg, Emma Caulfield and\u00a0my\u00a0perennial bad girl Eliza Dushku<\/u><\/strong>. Aside from her on Buffy and Angel, I was a great fan of Tru Calling and loved every\u00a0freakin’ minute of her I could find on film and TV. I even videotaped and still have her guest appearance on That 70\u2019s Show. I am a Hardcore “Dushkuer”. By no accident I am also a hardcore Joss fan, for more than a few reasons. Notwithstanding the fact that he has done phenomenal work on TV and film (Titan AE, Buffy, Angel, Firefly, Serenity), here is why I love Joss. He is loyal. He has a soul. When he finds an actor or actress he can share his vision with, they will keep coming back. He is loyal, a quality not found much in Hollyweed. You will see a cadre of actors that recur in his work over and over.<\/font><\/p>\n

With that thought in mind:<\/font><\/p>\n

Dollhouse<\/strong><\/u><\/font><\/p>\n

Eliza plays Echo, a secret agent\/tabula rasa\u00a0who, with others, gets a memory imprint to run a specific mission(Thinik Johnny\u00a0Mnemonic with no personality..oh wait.that WAS Johnny Mnemonic). When\u00a0the mission (Fantasy, sweatwork, secret agent stuff)\u00a0is completed, their\u00a0memories are wiped and they reside in \u201cThe Dollhouse\u201d, a sort of children\u2019s dormitory\/Secret Lair\/research facility,………. <\/font><\/p>\n

until Echo starts to remember\u2026\u2026<\/font><\/p>\n

Fox Network HUGE NEGITIVE!!!!!!!!<\/o:p><\/font><\/span><\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n

As much as Joss is loved by fans, he has NEVER had a network hit.<\/font><\/p>\n

Firefly was a ratings disaster on Fox (affix blame where appropriate)<\/font><\/p>\n

Tru Calling was a muddled mess on Fox<\/font><\/p>\n

Fox has never<\/strong> understood how to properly promote and keep their hands off and let shows find their stride.<\/font><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/font><\/o:p>Whedon swears it\u2019s a whole new day at Fox now and they WILL air the episodes in order(insert Firefly joke here). That being said, I CAN\u2019T FRACKIN WAIT!<\/span><\/span><\/span>This is Dome, with hope for the future. Call me, Abby! Hello, Public Radio?<\/span><\/p>\n
