TalkCast 308 – Christopher Golden and Rob Smales

It’s hard to describe what went on during this podcast, but lets try. Our first guest was Christopher Golden, one of our absolute favorite people to have on (Trivia: His first appearance was TalkCast #15) . He talked about his participation in our Kickstarter project, “My Peculiar Family”, his particular reason for James A. Moore and himself to write their story they did together. The we talked bout his new anthology “Seize The Night” that books nomination for a Stoker Award, his travel for the coming year and …..potty etiquette in public restrooms including the ubiquitous concept of Bathroom Stall Yoga (I have been banned from putting a link here, use your imagination).

Our second guest, Rob Smales came back to Sci Fi Saturday Night to talk about his new anthology “Echoes of

Darkness”. This anthology covers the span of Rob’s writing career. In an interesting moment almost the entire cast centered on a single work in this book, Death of the Boy, which in some way affected all of us during the reading. We talked about how he feels looking as some of his very early work side by side with his newer stories, how he might seem them differently now and talked about Rob’s writing process. In the midst of this conversation we again drifted into ubiquity and somehow ended up on the subject of The Smell of The Post Office… Yes, That’s right.
